Flea Style Dallas Recap

I had the opportunity to attend FLEA STYLE for the very first time last weekend, and it is decidedly not to be missed! Mimosas and a big variety of Texas-based artisans and retailers make for a fabulous time. Hunter and I just purchased our first home, and I’ve realized that moving to a four bedroom ranch style from a tiny (however much loved) downtown apartment requires a lot of new decor.

Give me all of the Southwestern flair!

I always like to support local companies, and many of these shops also make philanthropy and giving back to the local community a priority. I loved meeting some of the owners and hearing their stories!

I was happy to have my friend Graeme join me. She also happens to own one of my favorite places to shop local – Adeline! Our other cactus was a little late.

I made out pretty well with two pieces of one-of-a-kind art on canvas from Innerglow Art, a pair of adorable cactus vases from The Gypsy Wagon, and a gorgeous photograph (also cacti – it’s a theme) from Letters to Magnolia Print Shop. I even picked up a longhorn watercolor from Rainy Day Illustrations for Hunty (he deserves at least one representation of his alma mater in the house, I guess).

Can’t wait to put together a very “Texas” gallery wall and I’ll be sure to share a picture with y’all when I do!

Freckled Pottery displayed some very cute ceramics.

I can think of several rooms that need a few of these.

Could these ring dishes be any cuter?

We toasted our shopping successes at Mudhen after the show with blood orange mimosas!

I highly recommend adding Flea Style to your to-do list. In addition to decor, they include clothing, jewelry, and furniture retailers. Pretty much everything is completely original! Read all about future events (including a quickly approaching show in Houston) here.
