I recently decided to make the move over to cleaner skincare and beauty products. When it comes to what I eat, I always try to buy organic and read labels, so I figured it was time to do the same with the products I put on my skin!
New natural skincare and beauty product lines launch every day, and it can be tricky to find high performing products that are also safe, so today I’m sharing four of my favorites!
- Beautycounter. I really can’t say enough about this company! They’ve banned more than 1,500 questionable or harmful ingredients (for reference, the EU has banned or restricted more than 1,400 of these and the U.S. has only banned 30 to-date). The products are truly awesome and perform like many of the not-so-natural luxury brands I’ve used in the past. I love the Beautycounter+ line of masks, facial oils and facial mists designed to be used together!
2. Herbivore Botanicals. These products were created by a husband and wife in their Seattle kitchen, and now the brand’s gorgeous packaging is posted all over Instagram from the countertops of fashion and beauty bloggers. How cool is that? They’re all about non-toxic, no fillers and high quality ingredients that help your skin look its absolute best. I’m addicted to the Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist and the Bamboo Charcoal Cleansing Bar Soap.
3. Glossier. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Glossier! Leave it to Into the Gloss to create the perfect line of simple, high performing products complete with fun packaging (place your first order and you’ll see what I mean!). Glossier products focus on enhancing natural beauty, and they do a great job! I’m so glad the days of piling on layers of makeup are over. They just launched a sunscreen, Invisible Shield (SPF 35), and I can’t wait to try it!
4. Conscious Coconut. Last but not least, the O.G. of natural beauty…coconut oil! I am in LOVE with Conscious Coconut! Their mission is absolutely amazing (read all about it here). Each tube of coconut oil sold feeds a child in the U.S. through Feeding America food banks, and that’s just one of the company’s many efforts to give back. This sustainable, organic, cold pressed coconut oil comes in tubes for easy application. There’s really nothing you can’t use this stuff for – it even helps with sunburns!
