Shopping List: Time to Fiesta!

Summer is full of opportunities to fiesta….AKA opportunities to wear this fun pom pom skirt from Adeline! One major opportunity to unwind after work is Adeline’s grand reopening party coming up on August 10 from 6-8pm! My favorite Dallas boutique is moving just a few doors down from its current location and will be unveiling a whole new experience and even more brands…in style, of course!

Fiesta skirt and bodysuit

Give me all the pom poms!

Adeline is offering all guests 15% off all purchases, along with exclusive giveaways, complimentary cocktails, and braids by new local business Mermaid Braid Bar! Because what’s better than a braid to keep you cool on a 90+ degree summer day in Dallas? Not much, and I already mentioned cocktails.

Adeline grand reopening

This party also happens to be the perfect pregame for a dinner at newly opened Hudson House, also conveniently located on Lovers Lane. Lots of opportunities for pineapple-themed snaps (and a menu that’s easy to fall in love with). OR go to Chip’s and have a burger and fries. Your call!

Shopping List: Spring Frosé Date

Time for the first Shopping List post in a minute! You guys know I love a good frosé, and The Standard Pour’s happy hour special hit the spot last week. Also, I’ve been dying to go check out the adorable new rewardStyle mural. The outfit I’m featuring today features a bodysuit from Adeline. Yes, a bodysuit. Your summer outfits just got WAY easier.

Adeline Bodysuit- The Liberty List

This ruffle bodysuit also comes in a variety of colors! I decided to go with my fave (black, neutral).

Bodysuits are seriously bringing me back to my ballet days…I paired this one with a J. Crew skirt and pair of leopard sandals. Throw on a fun pair of earrings like these tassel hoops I picked up at FleaStyle and you’ve got a winning outfit. Check out the other bodysuit colors here.

Shopping List: Hot off the shoulder

I must say, I am LOVING the off the shoulder situation that’s happening this summer. Like this, and this, and this adorable dress I’m featuring today from Adeline.

Location: Truck Yard.

The off the shoulder dress is just so…easy. And chic. And “wear anywhere.” So dealing with the occasional outfit adjustment after grabbing something off of a high shelf is fine with me. I paired it with a long beaded necklace (also from Adeline) for Truck Yard, and a pair of turquoise Kendra Scott earrings for the following weekend. Yes, I wore this outfit twice in a row – and I’m not sorry. I’ll probably toss it in my bag for this weekend too.

And did I mention how perfect this outfit is for the Fourth of July? Just add some red lipstick and you’re good to go. My kind of outfit.

Shopping List: Poolside Patterns

With Memorial Day Weekend (#MDW) behind us, summer is officially here! Which means you can find me, drink in hand, poolside pretty much every weekend I’m in town.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite parts of this ridiculously hot season is the pool-to-lunch-to-wherever poolside cover up uniform. It’s just SO easy. And comfortable. If you’re lucky, you can even find a cover up that actually doubles as a dress (which makes it that much easier and more socially acceptable to wear your swimsuit and coverup all day, every day) like the one I’m featuring today from Adeline!

Cute cover ups on deck!

Shopping List: TX Happy Hour

It’s possible that I’ve found my new favorite Dallas happy hour patio in Rodeo Goat.

So when G and I were discussing the venue for our next Shopping List excursion and photo shoot, Rodeo Goat was a natural fit. The patio is huge, partially covered and equipped with fans – which is oh so important in the Texas heat. It’s the home of the best veggie burger I’ve had in Dallas to-date and the “Dapper Don,” a cocktail made with Deep Eddy Peach Vodka, Cointreau, lime and honey. We had a few.

Shorts + tank: Adeline.

Also, milkshakes. A very necessary prop. Flavor details included below.

This Shopping List look is perfect for a hot Texas happy hour – wherever you’re sipping!

Shopping List: Navy

I decided that one blue outfit on Shopping List just wouldn’t be enough to demonstrate my love for the color, so this post is completely dedicated to one of my favorite shades…navy!

I’m not ashamed to say that my favorite colors are neutrals. So to me, navy is like the spring/summer version of one of my all-time favorites, black. G and I had a ton of fun with this photo shoot, using The Grove at Harwood as a backdrop of course (P.S. The Grove was recently included in my top five prime patios for spring happy hours post! How could we resist “the flower wall?”).

Both outfits are from Adeline – so get over there and shop If you love them as much as I do!

Flowers on flowers on flowers. Dress: Adeline.

Shopping List: Weekend Brunch

I’ve been up to something…and I’m excited to share it with you! Of course, it involves shopping.

I’m launching a new blog post series called Shopping List! Once a month or so, I’ll be sharing outfit inspiration for everything from brunches to vacations to weddings. My good friend Graeme owns Adeline over at 4412 E. Lovers Lane (talk about a match made in heaven!), and if you live in Dallas and haven’t been, you simply must check it out. I promise you won’t leave empty-handed. We’ve decided to partner up to share some of our favorite looks, and this post’s theme just so happens to revolve around one of my favorite activities, brunch!

Bonus: getting together for these photo shoots typically involves a mimosa carafe (or three) for G & I!

This outfit is all about day partying. Now it’s important to note that when I say day partying, I mean the 27-year-old version of day partying, which means eating a giant breakfast and consuming mimosas followed by some hardcore napping. More photos and outfit credits to follow!

Office Refresh: Easy Upgrades Under $100

Let’s face it, leaving your home (and warm bed) for the office can be tough sometimes. That’s why it’s important to invest in office decor that makes you happy! Whether it’s a print, a candle, a pillow, or a wine cooler (a girl can dream!) giving your office space some personality is always worth it. When things get chaotic, just retreat to your zen zone. I recently gave my office a mini upgrade, and did so without breaking the bank. Can you tell I like white? Office chic doesn’t have to mean expensive. It also doesn’t mean you need a ton of space to work with – cubes need love too!
