Shopping List: Spring Frosé Date

Time for the first Shopping List post in a minute! You guys know I love a good frosé, and The Standard Pour’s happy hour special hit the spot last week. Also, I’ve been dying to go check out the adorable new rewardStyle mural. The outfit I’m featuring today features a bodysuit from Adeline. Yes, a bodysuit. Your summer outfits just got WAY easier.

Adeline Bodysuit- The Liberty List

This ruffle bodysuit also comes in a variety of colors! I decided to go with my fave (black, neutral).

Bodysuits are seriously bringing me back to my ballet days…I paired this one with a J. Crew skirt and pair of leopard sandals. Throw on a fun pair of earrings like these tassel hoops I picked up at FleaStyle and you’ve got a winning outfit. Check out the other bodysuit colors here.

Honeymoon Recap: Florence

I’m beyond excited to share my Florence recap with you! We completely fell in love with this city and its Tuscan wine. In fact, we just received our first shipment Brunello and I’m not sure I can wait until this weekend to open a bottle.

Visiting La Fornace in Montalcino for some delicious Brunello! Dress: Anthropologie.

Also, the Italian food continued to impress…and I didn’t even capture all of the amazing dishes we tried! One of our favorite lunches is missing from the recap photos. It was just THAT good, you guys. I miss the Italian countryside so much just looking at our photos!

Guess who’s back…back again…

The honeymoon (AKA #Huntymoon) was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to fill you all in! So I’m doing a series of three blog posts for you highlighting our adventures in Rome, Florence, and Venice. First up, Rome!

Rome was the first stop on our honeymoon itinerary and we filled it with sightseeing, eating, and drinking, naturally. So without further ado…let the food photos (peppered with some fabulous photos of the city and my outfits) begin!

Weekend Getaway Recap: Fredericksburg, TX

My first weekend in Fredericksburg was filled with wine, cheese, beautiful weather, and a healthy dose of 80s power ballads.

My dear friend Boz is getting married this April, and her sister Morgan planned a fabulous getaway for us in Texas wine country. It was my first visit to Fredericksburg, and I’m in love! I’ll definitely be back, as it is truly the perfect setting for a girls trip.

Our wine tasting weekend itinerary included visits to:

Photo op at William Chris!

First stop: William Chris!

We also had some amazing meals at Fredericksburg Herb Farm and Crossroads Steakhouse and Saloon. After a night of karaoke at Buc’s Bar and Grill, we hit up the herb farm for brunch before embarking on our wine tour (we used Cellar Rat Wine Tours and they were great!) We had dinner at Crossroads post-tour (and post-nap for me.) Crossroads restaurant was excellent, but my favorite part of the evening was definitely the band we found in the bar section of the restaurant.

I ended up taking home a bottle from William Chris, appropriately titled Hunter. Also grabbed a delicious red from Calais. I can’t wait to open them!

A few favorite pics from the weekend below! #Takemeback!

Mulled Wine + Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas

Checking in from my home office (AKA bed!) It’s been a fabulous couple of days here, due in part to unseasonably nice December weather, two weeks off of work, and the arrival of Christmas week.

Hunter and I celebrating a friend's birthday at Henry's Majestic, in December, on the patio. Cheers.

In spite of the warm temperatures, I decided mulled wine would be a good choice to prep for my friends during our annual Secret Santa party last weekend. Wine is flowing in all forms throughout the season (and year-round TBH), so why not mix it up and try a warm, spiced version for a change? Just pretend you’re somewhere that experiences snow on Christmas and you’re good to go.

I’m also sharing one of my favorite enchilada recipes (courtesy of my sweet friend Sue! Original recipe here) Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas. Basically a health food packed with nutrients! And cheese! My family recently started the tradition of preparing a Mexican feast on Christmas. Needless to say, I’m a big fan of the change. This year my mom has the enchiladas covered, so I decided to make these babies to kick off the week because you can never have enough Mexican food, am I right?

Let’s begin with the wine.
